''The Southern Chow Gar Praying Mantis Kung Fu has several different weapons in its training syllabus. In this training DVD of the weapons (no. 2), the butterfly knives are shown in detail.
 
Although they are called knives in the west, they are in fact two identical short swords. These two short swords are a weapon of south China and most Southern Kung Fu Martial Arts systems have them in their own syllabus.
